1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as the contents of your basket or your consent choices) over a period of time.

We also use similar technologies — pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits — and refer to all of them as "cookies" in this document.

2. Your consent

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the Site to work are set automatically, without consent, as permitted by law.

All other cookies — functional, analytics and marketing — are set only after you give consent through the consent window displayed on the Site.

You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from browsing the Site or placing an order.

3. How to change or withdraw your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings window on the Site and selecting new preferences. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking all cookies in your browser will stop the basket and the checkout from working correctly.

4. Categories of cookies we use

4.1. Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Site to function: keeping your session active, remembering your basket, processing checkout and payment, security and fraud prevention, and storing your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.

Typical examples on our platform (Shopify):

Cookie Purpose Retention
cart, cart_ts, cart_ver keeps the contents of your basket up to 2 weeks
_secure_session_id maintains your session during checkout 24 hours
_shopify_essential core platform functionality up to 1 year
keep_alive remembers your location during checkout up to 30 minutes
_tracking_consent stores your cookie preferences up to 1 year
secure_customer_sig keeps you logged in to your account up to 20 years
_cmp_a manages consent settings 24 hours

4.2. Functional cookies

Remember choices you make, such as language or region, and enable enhanced features. Retention: up to 1 year.

4.3. Analytics cookies

Help us understand how the Site is used — which pages are visited, how long people stay, where traffic comes from — so we can improve it. The data is used in aggregate form.

Cookie Provider Purpose Retention
_shopify_y, _shopify_s Shopify visitor and session analytics up to 1 year
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics usage statistics up to 2 years

4.4. Marketing cookies

Used to measure the performance of our campaigns and, where applicable, to show you relevant advertising on third-party platforms. These may be set by advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google Ads or TikTok, and may involve the transfer of data outside the European Economic Area, subject to the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

Retention: typically between 30 days and 2 years, depending on the provider.

The exact list of active cookies, including provider and lifetime, is shown in the cookie settings window on the Site and may change as we add or remove tools. We review it periodically.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use (our e-commerce platform, payment processor, analytics and advertising providers). We do not control these cookies. We recommend reading the privacy policies of the providers concerned for details of how they process data.

6. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website and, where applicable, to perform our contract with you. All other cookies are used on the basis of your consent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Romanian Law no. 506/2004.

7. Your rights

You have the rights described in section 8 of our Privacy Policy, including access, erasure, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent. Requests can be sent to contact@mprfamily.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The version in force is the one published on the Site, with the last updated date shown at the top.
